Class #37 – Big Roundy | CLASS FULL

A fun basket for all to make! In this class students will make large baskets with rounded forms out of willow. Built on a 4×4 or 5×5 slath and reverse paired round base, we will create a rounded upsett with three rod waling and then built height and organic shapes with various side weaves. A 4 rod top wale, woven border and optional handles complete the basket. Beginner students can learn this variation of the round base form, and more advanced students can play with shaping, different side weaves, and cranked handles. Students must have strong hands for willow weaving!
