Class #19 – Traveling Handbag
The basket is woven on an oval wooden base and has a unique leather U-strap that you attach with wax linen. You will be doing a triple twine and shaping an open area that a weaver could fill in with a material of your choice or make a liner. The top of this basket is finished with a fancy loop and braid rim, which is a favorite of mine. The base will be weaver-ready for class.
