Class #26 – Austrian Delight

The Austrian Delight is a most delightful willow basket! It is an advanced level willow basket and students should have made at least four previous willow baskets. An oval split stick base is staked up and followed by waling and French randing siding. The stakes then have two additional rods added to them that create a most unusual border which then travels down the outside of the basket and creates a woven foot on the basket. The addition of some contrasting rods adds to the delight of the basket. A wrapped handle completes the basket.
