Class #27 – Diamond Tote

The basket is woven of natural and dyed flat reed and has a soft cloth or leather handle. You will learn how to weave a checker work base with dark and natural spokes, hand-shape your basket, weave colorful patterns with dyed reed, insert the handle, and finish off the basket with sturdy rims and lashing. We will also discuss methods of dyeing and over-dyeing reed.

Your finished basket will be a perfect basket for carrying books, storing your catalogs or holding a knitting project. The tote is an excellent basket for beginners and beyond!!
