Class #28 AM – Ash Bark Mini Purse

This scored and folded one-piece bark basket is a worldwide Indigenous container still in use today. Prepare and split spruce roots to sew with, bend and split a red willow branch for the inner and outer rim, and try different stitching patterns. Each bark is unique. Braid a hemp cord strap. All materials are wild harvested by the teacher in the Northern Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts, except the hemp cord.
