![]()
This basket makes a fabulous tote or catchall. Students will learn how to make a solid woven base so items will not fall out. Three rows of 1/2” flat reed gets it upright. The sides are then chase woven in a continuous weave, which will be demonstrated. The corners are not creased, creating pouched out sides. The top is finished with a 3 rod-wale, which will also be demonstrated. Before lashing with cane, students will learn how to make a handle using only reed. The handle is wrapped in a pretty cane design, which will be demonstrated.
