Class #42 – Amara

This basket begins on a 4” round oak base. Students will insert flat oval stakes into the slot following a template. Several rows of 3-rod wale will secure the base to the spokes. Step-ups will be reviewed. Students will learn how to do the distinctive Japanese wave weave using natural and dyed 3 mm flat oval reed, which gives it a lovely spiralling pattern. The basket is rimmed with half-round reed and lashed with dyed reed. CHOOSE FROM BLUE OR RED
