Class #46 – Buckeye Tote

The Buckeye Tote is one in a series of state totes that I am creating. This version has a heart embellishment instead of the state of Ohio. The basket starts by inserting spokes in a slotted, wood base. Techniques include twining, start/stop weaving, and double lashing. The accent colors are gray, black, charcoal, and red. Beautiful leather handles complete this useful tote! I recommend students bring glue for their spokes.
