Class #12 – Long Ash Harvesting Container

This scored and folded one-piece ash bark basket is a worldwide Indigenous container still in use today. Prepare and split spruce roots to sew with, bend and split a Red Osier Dogwood branch to form the inner and outer rim. Try different stitching patterns. Each bark is unique. Braid a hemp cord strap to make this sweet harvesting container.
