Class #11 – Oval Rapture
The Oval Rapture basket is a good introduction to oval willow work, using buff and white peeled willow. An 8 inch by 5 inch oval base will be laid out and then woven. Bottom waling is followed by a lovely slewed weave with an accented white weaver on top of two buff rods. The basket is shaped so that it has flowing sides and a curved top. A plaited border completes the basket.
