Class #14 – Della

Della starts with a 5” slotted acrylic bloom base that uses #2 round reed twining to secure the #4 spokes. The sides are woven with a 3-rod wale that creates a spiral design called “becoming”. A twine arrow is used to help with the border spacing. The double diagonal rim creates a dramatic statement that is not only beautiful, but also incredibly strong. Care must be taken to ensure correct shaping and spoke placement within the border.
