Class #43 – Twill Fantasy – CLASS FULL
Students will learn how to create a bowl or jar shaped basket using free-hand shaping and twill weaving. The sides are woven in a continuous weave with dyed weavers. Other techniques included in making this basket can be: 4 – rod balanced wale, t- twining, a folded Shaker-style rim or sandwiched rim. Discussions will include dyeing techniques, creating a “zig-zag” and how to “workout the numbers” for continuously woven twill baskets.
