Class #56 – Coiled Sweetgrass – CLASS FULL

This basket is started with a turned or carved piece of wood with small drilled holes. Using waxed linen, you will coil with fragrant sweetgrass as the foundation. Students will learn how to add sweetgrass and stitching materials, as well as, shaping and adjusting stitches for the size of your basket. Emphasis is placed on finishing your basket with a smooth edge. Growing your own materials, sources for purchasing and different bases will be discussed.
