Class #40 – Japanese Leaf Scoop
The Japanese Leaf Scoop is used in Japan for serving pastries and condiments, or as a flower container. The weave is an o3/u3 twill and is held together at the back loop with a traditional Japanese embellishment – the interlocking V knot. Students will be able to make several scoops using natural and dyed flat oval reed (1/4” and 3/16th”). Cane is used for the lashing and interlocking V knot.
