Class #46 – Riding the Waves

This cat-head basket features the Japanese wave weave done in natural and dyed 3 mm flat oval reed. The design gives the basket a distinct spiraling pattern. It begins with a 3/3 twill on the base and has several rows of twining with waxed linen to set up the cat head. The teacher will bring kits in red & blue. Usual basket tools including spoke weight.
